What is the diffrence between Basic RiderCourse and Motorcycle License Test?
The Basic RiderCourse (BRC) is a two-day on motorcycle training that, upon successful completion, the rider will receive their motorcycle endorsement. We provide the motorcycle for the BRC.
The Motorcycle License Testing is the Ride Safe Indiana-BMV motorcycle driving test. The rider must possess a valid motorcycle permit, and the test is given on the rider's motorcycle.

What are the times for the class?
Start times vary depending on the location you registered at. Review the confirmation email you received upon completion of registration.
Saturday and Sunday riding: the course is designed for 11 hours, 5 hours on Saturday and 6 hours on Sunday.
An online course must be completed within 30 days of your scheduled classes. Once you have completed registration, you will receive an email with the MSF eCourse link.

What all do I need for the class?
You will need a DOT helmet, eye protection, full-fingered gloves, long sleeves, long pants with no holes, sturdy over-the-ankle boots, rain gear(optional), signed waivers, a valid driver’s license, snacks, and drinks.

Do I need to provide my own helmet?
Yes, to ensure proper fit and sanitary purposes, you must provide a personally owned helmet (DOT approved) for the training. There are no loaner helmets.

How do I register for a class?
Click the “Book Now” button in the top corner of this page. That will take you to the registration page, where you may pick the location that fits your needs best.

Do I need to provide my own motorcycle?
No, the training motorcycles are provided by Riders First for the course duration if you take a Basic RideCourse.
If you are taking a Motorcycle License Test, you must provide your own properly registered and plated motorcycle.

Do I need my permit to take the class?
No, a permit is not required to take a Basic RiderCourse.

Will this course give me my endorsement?
Yes, upon successful completion of the training weekend. This course will fulfill your requirements to obtain your endorsement for Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Michigan residents

What gear do I need for riding?
You we need your own personal gear. We do not have loaner gear on site. You will need: DOT approved helmet, long sleeves/jacket, jeans/pants with no holes, full-fingered gloves, and sturdy over-the-ankle boots (no tennis shoes).

Riders First has locations in Anderson, Bargersville, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Lafayette, Michigan City, Plainfield, Richmond, and Schererville, Indiana.

What do I need for Motorcycle License Test?
You will need a valid driver’s license with a permit, a properly registered and plated motorcycle, and personal riding gear.
Personal riding gear includes:
DOT helmet, eye protection, long sleeves, full fingered glove, long pants (no holes), and sturdy over the ankle footwear (no tennis shoes).
